Description

Don’t underestimate its size. The Artist Ukulele bass from Alvarez projects great volume and tone; all thanks to a meticulous design process – resulting in a truly responsive and bright bass-influenced uke.

Considered Craftsmanship

Each element of the AU60EBASS was carefully considered to provide both a high-quality build and playing experience. Boasting a dovetail neck joint, strength and durability is assured, alongside improved energy transfer between the body and neck. Response is enhanced too. A slotted rosewood bridge delivers better projection, while simultaneously making changing strings much faster and simpler.

Plug in & Play

Alvarez electronics even allow you to plug in and play if you want to, offering a far punchier, contrasting tone. You can then use onboard EQ to dial in your preferred sound using the bass, middle, treble and volume controls! Not to mention the built-in tuner; there’s no excuse for being out of tune again!

About the manufacturer

Alvarez

Alvarez is a well-established brand with roots in the United States, known for producing high-quality acoustic instruments with a strong emphasis on craftsmanship and tone. While they are most famous for their acoustic guitars, their ukuleles follow the same design philosophy, focusing on resonance, playability, and attention to detail. Production is typically based in Asia, with strict quality control that has helped build their reputation across multiple instrument ranges.

Alvarez ukuleles are often a step above entry-level, offering improved materials such as solid tops and carefully selected tonewoods. This results in a warmer, more balanced sound with greater depth and sustain. They are particularly well suited to players who are progressing beyond beginner level and want an instrument that feels more refined. Alvarez is worth checking out if you’re looking for a dependable upgrade with a focus on tone and build quality rather than gimmicks.
